YES, THINGS ARE CHANGING. Here's what to do about it: It's been a while. With passing time have come some huge changes to my writing. Figment is shutting down, and I'm using that as a transition into newer things. My work from here on out is going to split into 3 sites: Wattpad (@selena_brooks), Radish (@selenabrooks), and Underlined (Selena Brooks). This is a long post, so grab some popcorn and settle in. Here are the full details: WHAT BOOKS ARE WHERE?1. WATTPAD Books Available: ↠ Ballet Blog series #1-3 (Unexpected, Fierce Competition, Drama Queen) ↠ Paper Flowers ↠ Kismet (Not) & The Improbability of Forever ↠ 22 Summer Moments ↠ In Search of Tomorrow ↠ Ten of Me Books That Will Be Updated: ↠ Unveil ↠ The Back of Wednesday Books That Will Be Removed: ↠ Ballet Blog series #4+ 2. RADISH Books Available: ↠ Paper Flowers (free) ↠ Ballet Blog series #1-3 (Unexpected, Fierce Competition, Drama Queen) (free) ↠ 22 Summer Moments (free) ↠ Ballet Blog series #4+ (premium to freemium) ↠ Unveil (freemium) ↠ The Back of Wednesday (freemium) 3. UNDERLINED Books Available: ↠ Ballet Blog series #1-3 (Unexpected, Fierce Competition, Drama Queen) ↠ Kismet (Not) & The Improbability of Forever ↠ In Search of Tomorrow ↠ Ten of Me Books That Will Be Added Upon Completion: ↠ Unveil ↠ The Back of Wednesday WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?You may be wondering why I need 3 different sites to share my work. Here's why: Wattpad is my main platform as of now, and my primary way of sharing my work. Obviously I'm going to continue writing on the site, but Radish requires a 4-week exclusive for new content published. Therefore, my Wattpad updates will be behind my Radish updates (check out the Updates section for more details). Radish is a great way for me to further expand my audience and get paid writing. I'm starting fresh with it. Here's the details about all the different lingo:
Underlined is the new Figment, so I'll be storing some of my older and completed work there. Mainly for interacting with current Figgies and not losing touch with the Figment community, which I consider my writing hometown. So When Can I Start Reading Again?Soon! Here are release dates for each website: Radish: Paper Flowers: December 9, 2017 22 Summer Moments: December 11, 2017 Unexpected: Ballet Blog #1: December 13, 2017 Unveil: December 15, 2017 The Back of Wednesday: TBD Wattpad: Unveil: January 12, 2018 The Back of Wednesday: TBD Underlined: All currently completed books will be uploaded on Underlined's launch day. Unveil and The Back of Wednesday will be uploaded once they are fully released on Radish. Are You Going to Update Consistently? Why yes I am! Radish has a handy automatic upload feature, so every week at 4 pm you'll get a new chapter in each book (see below). As for Wattpad—that requires a little more work, but the content will already be completely written so it's just a matter of hitting POST. In fact, here are my update schedules: UPDATE SCHEDULES: Mondays: 22 Summer Moments Wednesdays: Ballet Blog series Fridays: Unveil Saturdays: Paper Flowers This applies for Radish right now and for Wattpad once I start posting on there again. What Are You Writing Right Now?I am currently finishing up the last 3 chapters of Unveil. But here's a list of other projects I'll be getting to in the future:
what's the long-term plan here? Here's some of my longterm goals, so you know what I'm working towards:
I Have Questions...And I have answers! Q: Why are updates on Wattpad so late? A: Radish has a four-week exclusive on my work, which means when I publish it there I have to wait 4 weeks before I can publish it anywhere else. Q: So you're basically making us pay to read your work now? A: Absolutely not! It's all a matter of how long you want to wait. If you want to read it the second I publish it, then yes, but if you're willing to wait a few weeks to a few months (depending on the book/chapter) then it's free. Q: How can I ask you more questions? A: Comment on this post or reach out to me on Twitter (@selenabrookssbb) or Wattpad (@selena_brooks). I'm really excited about this transition and hope it's for the best! I'll slowly be updating the rest of my site with more information. Feel free to reach out in the meantime.
Thank you!
